Gigantic spider on the rampage

Before anyone panics, please calm down. The monster spider seen in the photo below is actually a real work of art. It is outside of the 'National Gallery of Canada' in the City of Ottawa. The artwork is HUGE, and when you stand next to the spider, it is overwhelming because it is so lifelike! I always wanted to get a photo of it, but there were always so many tourists spoiling the scene. Who can blame them, it is such a magnet for fascinating and unusual picture taking. One stormy winter night last February (2009) I had a great opportunity as I was driving by. It was snowing at the time. There wasn't a single person around anywhere in sight. I rolled down the car window, and with my digital camera took a bunch of shots. When I got home, I immediately loaded them into my computer. It was so impressive! I loved the way they turned out. It looks so dramatic to see the spider like that (with the museum in the background). Anyway, here is the photo to share with the world, I hope you like it. |

That is a great shot. With things deserted and the scene darkened it looks like it's straight out of a horror movie!
I'll bet the web this spider makes is really big. Great photo.
