2010/2011 NHL Ottawa Senators Hockey By Steve East A new hockey season is almost here! The preseason games will begin next week, then the real stuff starts in October (2010). Ottawa, Canada is my home town. Hockey is really big here because when winter arrives, we need some entertainment. The local NHL team is the Ottawa Senators. It is so embarrassing, they didn't go far in the playoffs last season (even though they had the talent). Anyway, the slate is clean, and we will start fresh with high hopes this time. Daniel Alfredson (the fearless leader) is healthy again. Although he is getting old (by hockey standards) he still has the energy and drive. What a loyal Ottawa guy he is! Sweden is his home country, but he really made a new life for himself here in Ottawa. Go SENS go!
